G-tech meter permanent mounting options???
Ever since I bought my G-tech, I've had problem with the suction cup fallin' from the windshield in the middle of a test. Now, either its deteriorated, or somehow a solvent of some kind got on the suction cup, and gave it warts, so it don't stick at all anymore.
Somehow, I wish to install this thing permanently or semi-permanently.
I was thinking of epoxying the G-tech mount to a piece of plastic (so I can still tilt it) and then two-way taping her under the wiper/ washer controls. It'll be in the way of my vents, but who cares, I don't have A/C.
Has anybody got any other suggestions???
I would like to keep it away from the windshield to keep it cool, but close enough where I can reach it and read it easily.
I was also wondering about those adjustable metal arms that I've seen in use with some specialized micrometers, and thought that might have it's possibilities also.

Not even two hours ago, I found a suction cup in my Dad's garage.
It came from one of those shower shampooo/ soap racks, and has a larger diameter than the original cup. The best part is that it fits within the G-tech mounting hole where the original cup used to be.
I'm still interested in mounting it permanently, though...
