Speedometer needle - ?

Speedometer needle - ?
Went to a local car show last night, speedometer was working. On the way home got on it a couple of times (zz454/TKO 600). Driving to work this AM, I notice the speedometer needle missing on the long side of the pivot and not registering correctly. Weird thing is I can not see the broken off needle portion inside the speedometer housing...only thought I have is it slipped down into the area/slot where the odometer numbers are located. Any thoughts out there? Anyone know who rebuilds/fixes odometers?

I had my tach needle do the same thing last year. It just disappeared. When I got it apart it was in there just way down in the tach. I have since replaced the needle and converted it to electric.
