I have a 1982 corvette crossfire injection, and I was thinking of changing the feul pump before I put the tank back in. I read in this forum that a lot of guys go with another feul pump for higer pressure, for the crossfire injection. Could some body tell me which pump they use as a replacement.
FUEL pressure is kind of critical on those systems, if the one you have is working correctly stick with it. If you do decide on e new FUEL pump you will also need a FUEL pressure regulator to make sure you have the correct FUEL prsessure

some use the pump for an 85. It puts out more pressure suposively. I really dont see the purpose though because regulator built in to the TBI housing just dumps the excess back in to the return lines. I replaced my pump with an 82 pump and it works just fine. You need around 12-15 psi to be in the correct range, The 85 pump puts out 45psi and the 82 pump is good for 15 psi. If you have week lines and you install an 85 pump you could sprout a leak or two. My 2 cents....Correct me if Im wrong. And this is not writing class so dont comment on my spelling. lol

No problem. Make sure you change the sock and go ahead and change the FUEL filter...it is located at the frame just by the front end of the passenger door.

I was going to go through my whole long speal on why FP is so critical on a CF, but I'm not. Instead, I'll just say..."DO IT" and you'll be glad you did later down the road.
