Default Stuck bleeder

This is not corvette related but last night I was changing the brakes in the little lady's car and I went to bleed the brakes but couldnt move the bleeder. I soaked with wd-40 a few times too. Any ideas of what I can do to move this thing? Thanks

Don

Try PB blaster - better than WD 40 for corrosion. Can you get a 6 pt socket on it?

I like a 6 pt box end wrench for that myself, Can see it fit a bit better. PB Blaster is better than WD40, maybe use a little heat, but don't get nuts with it

If the above ideas don't get it, put a vice-grip on it very tightly and give it a smack with a heavy hammer. I know it's not your car, but I now use stainless bleeders and no longer have such problems. Good luck.

PB Blaster...Let it sit for a while.

The bleeder will only snap if you torque it at an angle.

I usually use an open end wrench so I know it is stright on and then give it a few very easy wacks with a very small hammer.

Be patient.

Good Luck!!!

After you put the PB or WD-40 on it, tap the area around the bleeder with a small hammer to try to jar it loose. It doesn't take much, but sometimes it can get the seized part to jar loose.
