I bought a 74 stingray basketcase. The interior was all out so I had to put it all back together. I replaced the wiper switch, and put the wiper moter back in. the fact that it was out tells me there was a problem. When the wipers are on they only move an inch or two. I tried a reman motor but it did the same thing. It looks to me like the motor should cam out to run the wipers and cam back to pull the wipers down. I had to fix a bunch of wiring, but it looks like it has power where it should, and is grounded good. Anyone had this problem??
Make sure that the black "wiper freeze" **** under the dash at the steering column is turned to the right position. I've bought 2 different Corvettes where the owner had said the wipers didn't work, and it was simply due to that.
Today I put the wiper motor from my chevelle on the vette and it worked just fine. When I tried the reman motor I might not have had things grounded properly. Thanks for your replies

Thats a switch under the dash for pre 73s to stop the wipers so you can change blades. If you turn the key off on them the wipers will still park unlike yours.
