Default Front wheel hub?

Will this fit on a '68 corvette?

I can't find one for a '68

No it won't fit. You have to buy a 69 & up front spindle and steering arm in order to make it work.

The small diameter 65-68 are becoming harder and harder to find. I am currently having them made but will not be done for at least another 90days.

thanks for the information. What seemed to just be a destroyed bearing in the start, looks like it is going to be a little more expensive.

What is the diameter on the big and the small hub? Maybe mine has already been changed?

No, the race has spun around in the hub and has damaged it so much that the race can be moved around in the hub :-(

This recently happened to my Brother's car. He took the hub to a machine shop (with the new race), and they machined out the hub and pressed in a sleeve.

It looked and worked as good as new.

Barry

I did exactly the same to both my front hubs.
Just make sure you do a followup wheel alignment after the repair..... there's a possibility that the new bearings might be on a slightly different plane after machining the hubs.

Mine is working as good as new now.... eradicated a lot of the high speed wander I experienced previously.

cheers

tom
