soft top weather strip
Does anyone have a secret on how to install the rear weather strip on the 68-80 vettes this piece has a draw string, and there is a channel where the weather strip attaches to the frame. Can we use vaseline to make it slide on easier, or some other type of lubricant?

I'm not sure exactly which piece you're talking about, but, GENERALLY, if it fits in a channel, you don't have to thread it through the end. You can line it up and push it in. A little lube may help. I would try to do it dry, just because I don't like lube oozing out. You may even have to use some adhesive to keep it in place.
