Need muncie teardown help.
I am in the process of tearing down my M20 muncie transmission. I am having trouble getting the Mainshaft1st gear bushing off. Shouldn't it come off easly? Because I cannot get the bushing off, I also cannot get the 1-2 syncro hub off and the Main shaft 2nd gear. I put the shaft in a press and none off the above pieces woud even press off. I am pressing down on the shaft from the tail end. If I put heat on the bushing will it destroy it? What my I be doing wrong? Thanks for any input. Robert
