I put 2 1/2 inch Sweet Thunders in mine. The hole through the Hooker mufflers looked too small for the flow.

I would say that thunder is not a misstatement.

What finish did you choose?

Word is the Hooker Max Flows sound even deeper than the glass packs, while outflowing full open pipes. The thunders are a bit on the tinny sounding side for my tastes (they have a sound clip you can sample on their site), so I'm going with the Max Flows.

Be prepared to cut your rocker panels to install these headers.......Also be careful of rust, I had a set for a BB and they started rusting in a short period of time....

I did not have to cut the rocker panels to install mine. I did find that they went together easier (the 4" pipes) with some hi-temp anti sieze.

The ceramic (Jet-Hot) coating discolored on my headers in the engine compartment area. They became somewhat cloudy looking with a tannish tint.

Should we mention the "Hooker Tattoo", or let him get one first? Oooops!

make sure to use some high temp anti seize goo when you slide the pipes on the headers it makes removal and adjustments 10 times easier!!!!

Agree about the anti-seize... Post a sound clip when you get it fired up.
