Default RE: 79 Corvette Window motor deinstall

Hi folks, I have a 79 which has a bad window motor on the passenger side. I removed the door panel and I can see the motor fine. Am I correct in assuming that the way to get it out is to drill out the rivets?
and put new rivets in?

Thanks in advance

yea, ya have to drill the rivets and take the regulator out and then do the motor. Be careful, there is a spring in the regulator that can snap the thing around and take off a finger, put a bolt in the hole in the regulator to hold it while you remove the motor.

I think the general thought it to replace the rivets with bolts washers and lock nuts. That's what I did anyway and very happy with the result.

you don't have to remove the regulator to remove the motor. I believe there are three bolts that hold the motor in place.

you removed the wrong bolts I have circled them on your picture. they are on the back side so it is a tight squeeze to get them off.
