first happy labor day. maybee this should be in general but here goes. 82 700r4 3000 stall 3.73 dart iron eagles bone stock 9.5:1 518 lift mechanical 280 duration air gap 780 vacume secondaries. hooker sidepipes drilled spiral baffles. msd. this thing is as tweaked as it can be but im not happy. its just not scarey enough. i dont expect it to be like a 600hp big block but its just not snappy enough. ive got too much into it at this point to go crazy and build a psycho small block and in my experience the 700r4's go away as you approach 500. im wondering if a pair of AFR's would do it. or should i go in another direction. im hoping a few of you have been where i am and have solved the problem.
Have you considered a supercharger like magnacharger or vortech ?
They seem to add about 100 hp to whatever you have now. Check out their websites. I'm partial to the magnacharger based on their dyno
charts.
This will be scary enough. http://forums.corvetteforum.com/show....php?t=1791217 That is under $11 per HP.
But if this is too scary, a set of AFR 195 Eliminators and a roller cam will probably bump you up 75 hp. if properly matched and dyno tuned. That will cost you about $2500. That is $33 per HP.plus labor and dynotune.
