I'm looking around for a nice donor carb to rebuilt to 1970 350 specs.
As long as the fuel inlet is the side style does it really matter what its off? I've found a suitable carb with an electric choke but its from a '79 Caddy. Is there anything wring with truck Q-jets?

Truck Q jets are not a good choice for the Corvette engine.
I learned this from Lars
"Jetting and setup is completely different from passenger car application due to the intended low-speed design of the venturies."
I think you need one off a Chevy so the gas pedal and passing gear hooks up easy.
Olds, Pontiac, and Buick have the passing gear cable going to the gas pedal so the carb won't have the hook up.
The most thought will be in the jets and primary rods.
You just have to see what you get and then go from there.
The 75 up carbs primary rods aren't reproduced yet so you will have to hunt for some doners.
