Squeaking noise from wheel...
I've got an intermittent squeaking noise that sounds like it's coming from the driver's side front wheel.
The squeak is speed (not RPM) dependant and stops when I stop. If I hit a small bump, it may go away. If I hit another small bump, it may come back.
I haven't gotten into examining it yet. I'm just looking for some direction.
Is this going to be something like the bearings or what?

If you touch the brake when it's happening, does it stop?
My rallye trim rings were squeaking against the wheel weights, but that can't be your problem if your sig pic is accurate.
Any poly bushings up front?

Doesn't stop when I touch the brakes. I can actually listen to it slow down as the car slows down. The sig pic is accurate.
Not sure about the bushings up front...what would I look for?
Also, I tried rolling down the window while it was happening and it really didn't seem to get any louder...dunno if that makes any difference or not.

Poly bushings will be shiny and don't usually compress as much as rubber, but I guess it wouldn't be bushings if it still squeaks when you slow down. I was kind of thinking of suspension bounce on highways.
Another possibility is the wheel bearing. Have they ever been repacked or replaced?

Nothing has been done with the front suspension since I got the car in April.
The front suspension was rebuilt a few years ago by the previous owner. Well...they paid a shop to do it. No telling how good of a job they did. I would expect the wheel bearings were at least repacked at that time, but I guess I've got no guarantees...
