I just hit a buck with my Vette My near new condition '82 just isn't the same anymore. It will no longer be pure. There goes my 20 year old virgin. Makes me want to take up hunting again, just for revenge. I'm going to be pouting for a while yet. :smash: :mad :mad :mad
I'm really sorry to hear about your vette, and I know not much can be said to cheer you up, but at least you still have the best car on the road. :flag
That sucks i have a friend who did the same thing in his 67 camaro last year. His car was messed up bad and the dear was unreconizable. He got it fixed and back on the road though and it looks better than ever.
Hope your repair turns out flawless and the parts are easily found. Coming home the other night in my 70 I saw a deer ahead crossing and clearing to my right and slowed down becasue I had seen them before in the area. Up ahead was five more does clear of the road that had already crossed.
that sucks, but those encounters can be fatal to the driver as well as the deer. Thinking about deer has stopped my 100+ mph runs home late at night. MJ
Boy, that reallly sucks, We worry about deer alot, and you know they always aim for our vette, the other night we were going to visit our friends and what do you know, a 8 point buck decides to try to make the hood of our 70 its landing ramp, I saw it oout of the corner of my eye, like the rest of the idiots in N.J. who's only reason to be on the road is to smash into classic vettes, it seems anyway, and swerved and just nearly missed it. I thought to myself,"why can't a deer try to hit my F-250, that has full coverage, parts are cheap and readily available, and also I would feel much safer hitting a deer in a high 4x4, than a vette. Well this story does'nt help for what happened to you, but maybe all of us can learn to be more careful of our furry friends! Anyone up for some venison?
SPOKE-
Too bad about Disney, making those usless POS barry eating things so popular....
I think the whole forrest needs cleaned out of them.....hazards and spread disease.....
I lost my operating headlights to one once, small Florida variety, hated to see the body damage, but other than that, it was a good thing, about 100 lbs of crap off the front end....
Man; bummer about the car. Of course you have a right to say "%$!@&! DEER!!!!!!!!". But I've got to think that the deer is at the pearly gates saying; "%$!@&! VETTE DRIVER". :jester :jester :jester
Seriously. Sorry the cars been damaged. But I'm glad you walked away only ticked off. :yesnod: :yesnod: :yesnod:
$2,300 damage. Headlight assembly damage, paint flaked off nose, crack in rt. fender, brackets for nose out of whack, antlers dragged across hood and fender.
Sorry to hear about the damage.
This reminds me that I need to bump my insurance up from just liability. Comprehensive will supposedly only cost me an additional $120/year.
