Default 1974 high blower relay wiring?

Hi
seem to be missing a connection on the high blower relay - I have the connector that is a three prong - but where does the single connection go
to?
Thanks

actually just noticed only two wires going into the three wire connector - orange and dark blue - looks like the guy before me was up to something -
looks like I need a proper where the wires come from and where they go to lesson!

Hey Dwinchs don't mean to step on your posts, but just did the job and i've got some good photos of it,,

The single connection in the back is ground, should be a black wire

The green wire goee through the fire wall to the fan speed switch on the consol to the fan "High" switch contact, it controls the fan relay in conjuction withthe black ground wire, closing it when it's selected

The orange wire is from constan +12V high current capable and fused on the drivers side,, see my post url address below

the purple wire is connected to the medium blue wire coming from the resistor pack back on the blower cover, the 10 guage wire. they can do this because there is a common batt. it then goes to the blower motor as it's single power lead, purple.

You need the kind that has the cut-out spring part on the back. I don't have a source for them,, hopefully someone else does. A regular female connector would work,, w/o the springing cutout, you would just have to thread the wire through the plastic end, crimp it on the wire end and plug it in to the relay by itself,, then plug the black plastic end with the other two wires in it in. Use electrical grease/light bulb grease on the connectors for ease of removal in the future. If you go this route,, remove the small pastic insulator on the end of the new connector as it might cause fitting interferance. C.

If you need the whole plastic plug end with the wires in it, I would talk to a harness manufacturer, they could get you one with wire stubs attatched.
