Carb stumble
After switching intake manifolds from an edelbrock performer to a single plane weiand team G 7525 I began getting a stumble when the secondaries are opened. Once the stumble is past the car runs fine and if the throttle is gradually applied there is no problem. This stumble occurs when floored anywhere between 1000 and 3000 rpms. The motor is a 350 with 9.7 comp, CC 270H and AFR 180 heads. The carb is a 4165 Holley model 6210-3 with 64 jets primary and 83 secondary. The primary 30 cc accelerator pump has a 0.025 discharge and the secondary 50 cc pump has a 0.036 discharge. I assume the problem is with the secondary accelerator pump but am unsure of the direction to go. Am I flooding it or is it starving for fuel when the vacum drops. If I am starving it should I start tuning it by changing accelerator pump cams or discharge nozzels. Since I am not a carb expert any advice anyone could offer would be appreciated.
