Default Headlights Stay up

Everytime I start the car the headlights pop up. I suspect the override switch. How can I bypass it to verify? Thanks.

To bypass the overide just pull both hoses off and put them together with a little tube.
How do you get them back down ? Do they go down on their own after the car runs for a min.?
If you go to Corvette 101 dont use their vacuum diagram-ITS WRONG.
I'll get a corrected version for you and post it in a min.

They do not go down. I can manually close them by hand, but they pop up when the car is started.

Look at the small white hose going from the pull down to the relays at the front of the car--if the small white has vacuum on it...that is the signal for the lights to go down. If the white hose doesnt have vacuum on it ...that is the signal for the lights to come up.So you must not have vacuum on the white hose.Follow the white hose from the manifold to the pulldown through the headlight switch and out to the relays.Find out why you dont have vacuum at the relays.
