It's always on my 71 when I turn on the lights. After drilling out a few stripped screws i finnaly replace all the headlamps with some new units - one was a T3.
Anyway, mucho disappointment when the warning lamp remained lit. What do I check next?
Are your headlamp warning switches in place? As you know, there located underneath the headlight door assm. I'm not sure why the light would stay on unless to switch was not making contact somehow to close the circut. Hope this gets you started.
This switch should be pressed in when the headlights are all the way up.
This switch should be like this when the lights are off.
I was wondering what those were - on the drivers side, the threaded portion is broken off and it's just dangling, and on the other side the wires have been clipped. Are those available aftermarket?

Those are available aftermarket. But in my opinion they are subject to "corvette tax" at $24 at Corvette America. That was the only place I could find them right now. Part number 33034
Even when not looking, I find another small project to deal with. My light also stays on...never even got so far as to think about switches being broken or not...in the grand scheme of things...
