Tire size-Traction ?
I have an opportunity to buy a used set of steel Rallye wheels with 275/50 & 265/60 BFG TAs mounted. Do you think traction would improve greatly by using 275/50s vs. my existing 225/70s? Anybody with some experience?

This sounds like a funny combination of tires. The 275 50 are about 50 millimeters wider then your 225 so they will look 2 inches wider. The front which are the 265 60 will probably be taller then the back 275 50s. The norm is 275 60 not 50. As for traction the extra tread width should help but at stated earlier TA 's are no great tire.

I have BFG P255 60 R15's all the way around and they have average traction on dry pavement. They do pretty well in rain. The 255's are a tight fit and I don't think you will be able to fit much bigger on a C3 without some :smash: .
