get a "TEE" and some vacuum hose. remove one of the vacuum lines connecting to the manifold like the one in front of the distributor supplying vacuum to the headlights, then insert the TEE with the vacuum gauge on the branch of the TEE. now, with the engine running, remove and cap vacuum lines from the top of the engine and note change in vacuum reading (if it's a really bad leak, you won't need gauge for this). this should help you track down the offender; once there, any leak test procedure depends on the component.
