Was wondering if anyone has any experience with the Sanderson line of headers in their C3 ?? In particular the cast QP series or even the block hugger series. I am making my spring buy list and these seem to be a decent product at a good price. Anyone out there got any feedback?? Thanks for looking!
I have ceramic coated Sanderson block hugger headers on one of my cars...not my C3 but an Avanti. It's hooked up to a GM Performance 350 HO with Edelbrock EFI and run it through Magnaflow mufflers. The car's a screamer...hard to keep in from spinning tires in the first two gears and sometimes third.
My experience has been exceedingly positive with the setup. I've come to believe Sanderson makes excellent headers...as good or better than anyone else's. They have the thickest flanges I've seen on any brand.
If I had Sanderson headers in my '69 427/435 in place of the stock manifolds, I'm sure I'd be just as satisfied.
I have a set of Sanderson stainless steel block hugger headers for a big block in the attic that I decided not to use. Let me know if you are interested.
I'm thinking of getting those heat sleeves for the spark plug boots. Haven't had a issue but they are awfully close, but more importantly it will give me piece of mind.

I've got the ceramic coated block huggers and I've never seen better quality by any manufacturer. The flanges are very thick and straight and don't even need gaskets. You just use a little high temp silicone.
