Default Two (2) things.

Hello all, We were out cruisin' last night, and it started to rain. Low and behold all the wiper stuff worked just fine. ( my wife laughs her a** off evertime she see's the wiper door open). Don't know why...anyway, the wiper on the drivers side just goes too far to the left. I don't see how to adjust that. Is there a way?

Also, before it started to rain I had a BMW 730 get playful on the way out of town. We came off at a light and I was surprised how little of an effort he was. I think he was too as he mentioned it at the next light. Is that a kill even worthy of a mention?

Jon,

Can't you just take the wiper arm off the sprocket and reset it? I've never had to do this on my Corvette, but it usually works that way on GM. Squashed that BMW like a bug did you? Next time give him a head start and some cough syrup for his turbo..........! Regards

you took out a BMW. awesome. I've only "played" with a neon. I only played along because his girlfriend was there and with his windows down I heard him talking crap about vettes, so I played along and burned him bad, I would be scared to play with a BMW with my stock L-48.

As for the wiper arms, I agree with shutdown1. Try what he says, but don't adjust to much, you don't want to put strain on the wiper arm when it goes down into your wiper bay area, and it hits that metal bar-stop thing.

That a kill, print it up and glue it to fender. Any BMW 7 series kill is a good one. I prefer Lexus's and Ricers.....

Ouch....it hurts to hear that from a Corvette owner. I chow down on these for lunch. :smash:

Had a new M3 "try" and take me and my ZZ4. I pulled up behind him at a stop light after work one day and I had to make a right hand turn a few miles down the road to pull into my neighborhood, well anyway, he took off fairly slow so I just thought he was a weeny......he pulled into the right hand lane and I started to pass him when he got the idea that he wanted to play. I punched it and pulled away from him like he was driving a Yogo or something like that. By the time I got to my turn he was a speck in my rear view mirror. Another BMW bites the dust. It is fun to see those yuppie wantabe's cry :cry  :cry  over the 40 grand they spent on their Eurotrash cars. I love American V8 power.........there is no substitute! :chevy :chevy

Thanks for the replys...I gotta admit it felt pretty good, and the guy was cool about it. And it was nice to have an interest from something besides a Mustang.

I looked at the same thing like ShutDown1 suggested, but it seems to line up well at close.

Jon, do you own an Assembly Instructin Manual? My 72 A.I.M. has a wiper arm adjustment procedure and I would assume that your car adjusts in a similar manner. If you have your AIM go near the front and look for the wiper section. Simple two step process. If you don't have an AIM, e-mail me off line and I will scan that section of my AIM and send it to you. This takes maybe three minutes to do.

There is a screw on the side of the wiper ( it looks like an assembly screw  ) thats adjusts the blade side to side. It is used to fine tune the wiper position....

Don't be! :) Just be wary of M3/M5's - they're a lot quicker than the standard jobs.

GaryS,.... I see the page you’re talking about. Really bad copy on that page. Seems like the pages I need are always poor quality, and the others are o.k.
Maybe I'll have better luck if I get another, better quality AIM. I will probably take your offer and e-mail you.
Thanks.

427V8....I think I see what your referencing. Maybe with a better adjustment procedure I'll get it right. Thanks.

Again my wifes snide comment......why bother, you won't drive it in the rain. :bb

Not to bust your *****, but what's a 730? I'm not sure of the older cars, but
if it was the newer style, it was either a 740 or possibly a 750 (12 cyl-very fast)

Hmm....could have sworn it was 730. Maybe 740, but definantly a 7 series newer luxury type.
