Edelbrock Endurshine Thunder series dual 500 cfm quads with an Edelbrock Endurshine RPM Air Gap. The setup comes tuned from Edelbrock/Summit/Jegs. I have a med rise hood and had to cut the filter a little, but it fit under my hood. There are numerous hood fittment issues out there and the all seem different, do some reading before you jump.

The question is what do you want from the upgrade? Unless you're planning on a cam swap and headers as well, the stock iron intake and a well-tuned Q-Jet is giving you about everything there is to get without other changes.
Triple Black 68 Vert, that - Sir - is a thing of great beauty.

That is true, no reason to overkill.
Thanks Billa, I have put many hours of blood, sweat, and tears into her. I am still resto-modding the car. It feels like an arms race.
Agreed
Is your motor a stocker? Maybe you'd benefit from a combo (cam-intake-carb) of some sort, and an HEI distributor? That would freshen things up nicely and not break the bank.
Thanks Triple Black, now I want to dig a hole and bury my '81 LOL
Sweet honey mustard that's a nice car
If you are not planning on upgrading heads, cam or exhaust, a Edelbrock Performer with a Edelbrock carb would probably a good choice.. IF you are planning future mods like cam and heads etc., the Performer will hold you back. If you are planning any significant power upgrades, I'd recommend a Original Torker or Torker II intake with a Holley 4779 750 cfm carb.. The 4779 can be tuned to run great with a stock motor but has the potential to work with a much more aggressive cam/heads etc.. The Edelbrock series of carbs is fuel efficient, has a good tune out of the box BUT is not that well suited for above stock power engines..
If you want to keep your HP potential open, also keep the plenum of your intake open
Thanks all for the input. It is a 4 speed with an LT-1 hood. The engine is a stock 350/350 with 34K original miles. I dont really want to make any changes to the block for a while, so I was just thinking intake/carb/distributor/headers to, as scooter said, "freshen" things up a little.

Ill say..
Hooker Sidemounts w/ glasspack insert.
Edel EPS or performer intake..EPS may suite your engine a little better..need to research. Its still a lowrise.
Holley SA 670 or BG Demon 650 mech secondaries. Either would be right for your engine. The holley is cheapest, but not necessarily less a carb.
MSD Probillit Dist. w/ 6al Box. MSD superconductor Wires.
I wouldnt change that engine either, until its worn out that is
Does it have solid lifters? If its a Orig. LT-1 engine You wouldnt ever want to upgrade it would you?
