I just took my intake off and am trying to get my heads off. I have the first 6 bolts off on the heads from front to back, but I can not get any room in for the back 2 in order to break them loose. Any tips on how to get these 2 back bolts off w/o having to lift up the motor etc? Thanks!
I did this a decade ago when I had a cracked block and replaced the heads to chase down the leak. I ended up pulling the motor to rebuild it but I successfully pulled the heads with the engine in the car...twice.
I just used a 1/2 drive half size extension that cleaned the rockers and was not too tall. I think you can also use a deep wall socket to get you that height and still have room.
Just remember there are 17 head bolts. don't forget about the lower ones also. Make sure you have all 17 out. I have seen a couple of broken heads due to people pulling the headwithout all the bolts out.

Do you mean you can get the socket on the bolts or you can't get enough leverage to break the bolts loose? If you can't break the bolts loose, use a longer breaker bar or use a pipe to extend the length of the breaker bar for more leverage.
Sorry guys for late reply. I got the heads off and they are in the machine shop . I think i was just to tired. I finished and went to bed last night at 6...or rather this morning. Got up at 9 and went back at it and got them off. My brain was just fried :P i was having issues with room. I could get the wrench on the bolt but no room for a breaker bar. I managed to squeeze my torque wrench in there and bust the loose then with some oil, I turned them out by hand.
