Default Brake Switch

Its been a while since Ive posted due to all the work Ive been putting into this car. Some of the purists are really gonna hate me for saying this but I rewired the whole car with a painless fuse block and made a custum aluminum dash. The car runs and starts but of course I have no lights. Im now in the process of wiring the brakes but I'm wondering if i might have misplaced the brake switch when I was taking all the old wiring out. Does anyone have a picture of what one looks like installed. Is it way up near the top or is it suppose to be near the bottom??? A little lost right now any help would be apprecated.

It almost looks like it was near the bottom. Like it was a NO switch then when the pedal was pushed down it closed as it extended outward. I can see a shiny spot where the switch must of sat above the pedal on the bracket.

Going from memory it should be about 2" long and about 5/16" in Dia. threaded two wire plastic switch with a simple spring loaded plunger on the end and a real cheesy type nut to mount/adjust it
The plunger makes/breaks physical contact with the tab on the brake pedal to activate the lights.
