Default VBP Poly Kits

Can someone help me figure out the difference in these 2 kits please since there seems to be a difference in price. This is the kit, the details are in the link.

The more expensive kit includes some poly bushings for the rear suspension as well as everything included for the front. Basically, one kit is front, and the other kit is front and rear.

If you do go full poly, make sure you grease everything very thoroughly as it will creak and groan if it's installed dry.

That would account for the difference in pricing but the item descriptions are identical DD. That's what I couldn't figure out. I heard that VBP has a sale on but I guess those aren't part of it.

Also, what lubricant do you use?

Yeah they just didn't do a good job of marketing it. The pic and description is the same with no mention of the differences. The key is the name they put on the kits.

Ok, thanks DD, I guess it doesn't specify what is included for the rear?

Any idea what lubricant is used for the poly? To bad this wasn't included in there sale.

It says its a complete kit, but then it says it includes...

either A-arm bushings, End-links, Ball joint and Tie rod boots
OR
Differential mount bushing, Trailing arm bushings, Strut rod bushings and Spring bolt cushions.

So, it's not a complete kit then?

Several forum members recommended marine grease because of its superior water resistance. I bought some at West Marine last night and put on my poly bushings. Can't wait to get it all back together I'm missing some great cruising weather

Ok I get it, and that's why I'm confused also.

I have poly-bushing all-around my Vette..... drilled and tappet to accept a grease-fitting (donno the english name....).

Is a quite strigthforward job...... a couple of hours and you have done!

Now I can grease two time per year everything..... with marine grease!!!!

Sorry Stoker, but if I understand correctly, you dilled and taped the poly (rubber) type bushings to accept grease?

I am going to order Energy Suspension kit for my car soon. ENS-3-18123G. I have used their engine and tranny bushings and they are very good quality.

http://store.summitracing.com/partde...18123G&FROM=MG

This kit is cheaper and has more bang for the buck.

I am also planning on using this grease:

I assume he means the bushing shells. ES sells sway bar bushings with grease fittings.

The ES kits come with quite a bit of that grease, but having some extra on hand doesn't hurt.

Default Sorry

Sorry for my very bad english.........

Yes, I have drilled the shell..... in the area uncovered by the housings in the A-arms.... all-around the car!

But remember..... you have to drill the steel shell and even the poly bushing..... bacause the rotation is beetween the poly-bushing and the inner sleve!
