Default Hot choke question

I am swapping in a beefier 350 in a 76 Vette replacing the stock tired engine and we are going to be running a Edelbrock Performer intake that does NOT have the capabilty to run the factory hot air choke. Is there any way around this?

Would my best bet be to convert the stock Q-jet over to a electric choke?

Thanks for the help

If it's a #2101 it should accept the divorced choke adapter.
If not then convert it to electric
Heres a pic and a link to the part. #8901

I just had my Q-Jet rebuilt and converted from a hot air choke to an electric choke, works great, it's the only way to go in my opinion. I have a 2101 and the hot air set-up never worked right for me. Now I turn the key to the on position, press the pedal to the floor once, crank it over, and it fires right up and runs great even after the car has sat for a week.

You can buy choke rod from Edlebrock to work with stock Qjet. Part number 9171.
