Any idea what size the bolt hole is for the ground on the back of the alternator?

I think mine was a metric 10.

Sounds right. That hole is for a support brace, but it makes a nice ground point.

Now clarify because my heads hurts. I said #10 as in the #10 socket. When you say #8 do you mean socket or stud diameter?

Crap. When it comes to metric all I know is socket size. I avoid metric and hate working on cars with metric fasteners. Sorry.

It's the same method as used for SAE fasteners, just with metric numbers: stud size followed by thread pitch.
I think the bolt on the back of my CS144 is a 10mm.
