replacement bumpers
I have a '75 convertible and the rear bumper is beginning to crack. The worst crack is about 3" long. I am looking for advice as to whether I should try to get original bumper repaired or go for a replacement. If I need a replacement, what is the best kind to get and where should I get it? Any advice would be appreciated.

Well, I've heard of "original" 1975 NOS rears going for $2500, but I don't think you want to pay that. I put a "1975" only TrueFlex one on mine last Winter that I bought for $150. You DO have to modify the rear of the car somewhat to get it to fit, but then again I almost expected it being a "non-GM" part. After fitting it on and off several times, and having it painted this past Spring, it looks pretty good. If your front is the "original" OEM bumper, it won't be long before that one will also crack and split due to the aging and oxidation of the original urethane material in the bumper. :yesnod:
