Putting 1980 frame under 1975 body?

Default Putting 1980 frame under 1975 body?
Hi guys,

Still working on a solution for my beat up frame.

I'd like to put a 80-82 frame under my 75, for the weight savings and batwing rear end. Would my 75's body bolt on, or are there differences?

If I recall correctly, the '75 rear end is stronger than the '80s rear end.

I don't know much about the differences but I know there are a few small ones.

I believe it's the rear crossmember and differential mounts that are different and very likely the rear bumper mounts also.
it can be done but the frame needs to be modified
