Update--After going back over all my steps. Found a spark plug boot not secured. Must have popped off.........Thankfully it was a simple problem..
After replacing plugs-cap-rotor and wires on my 76 vette the car ran great. Now after oil getting changed I have a clicking sound by my dist cap? Which I dont think has anything to do with why this is happening. It just sounds like its missing and needs help?
Any ideas where I can start looking at? I did pull the cap back off and it looks fine I just dont know what happen?

It's obviously hard to diagnose the problem over the Internet, but I would start with examining the cap closely to look for cracks or carbon traces that would indicate arcing inside the cap. If the cap is new it shouldn't be cracked but the quality of parts ain't what it used to be.
