Default Dents in Sidepipes

Bought a used set from a forum member, the price was right, but discovered there were some long dents on the bottom of the sidetubes. This prevents the muffler inserts from going in. Any good methods for removing the dents? I don't think I want to leave them open.
Thanks all.

If you don't mind putting a small hole in each dent, then you could try a slide hammer dent puller. Or if you have access to a stud welder, you could use that to grip and pull dent out. Of course if the pipes are chrome and the dents show, you probably don't want to do this.

How about using a tail pipe stretcher?? You know what I'm referring to? It looks like a round collection of metal bars that expand when the center bolt is tightened. You might need a long extention on the ratchet, but thats the same principle used to take dents out of shotgun barrels. Let me know if it works.
