Thanks. Neither the wiring diagram or the electrical troubleshooting book is quite accurate in regards to the buzzer assembly. Mine's been disconnected and hiding behind the carpet for years.
V-Twin, my 77 is an earlier model than yours. If that lump on top of the fusebox is an E77 part, I should have it.
That plug at the top looks like the turn signal harmonica connector that someone has misplaced. It is a connector with wires going in and should have females on the side we cant see...whats plugged in on the other side of it?
I thought at first it was the 122 connector for the buzzer box only installed backwards and the wrong location but the wire colors are wrong and too many of them.

I know what the connector is, it's the rear body harness. It has everything rear of the fuse block on it that is not included in the interior harness. The issue is, it's interfering with the hood release cable and I'm starting to get the feeling it's not a corvette fuse box at all. The connector must be the reason why it was installed upside down. I had all the wiring out of the car and repaired and customized it (removed what I didn't need). The only reason for the pic request is to identify the fusebox, not to find out what wire is what. I already have that figured out for the entire harness.

My box has that connector at the top. The hood release cable is covered by a long grommet that sticks into the car from the firewall, and that grommet and the tape on the wiring harness are just sort of jammed next to each other.
I did just notice that you have a circuit breaker where you should have a fuse and a fuse where you should have a circuit breaker.

There are several colors that don't add up like the light green for the hi beam indicator being dark green in mine, and the oil pressure wire is blue/white in mine, not blue.
I'm replacing the new hood release with the old one. The new one is one of those solid wire things but they don't have the coiled outer liner so I'm going to use the new 1 wire cable and use the old bracket & outer liner.
I don't have a grommet on the firewall. I may have to bend up some 3/16 stainless tube if the outer liner is not long enough so that it keeps the cable from cutting into the connector.

On my car, the cable doesn't hit the connector - it hits the tape on the wiring harness just off of the connector. They're pushed together pretty tight. The cable is protected with a "T" shaped grommet - it might be available from ZIP or the other vendors.
As far as the wiring weirdness goes, the early 77s are all freakshows. I've found several places where the obviously factory wiring in my car didn't match the wiring manual, electrical troubleshooting manual, or either book.
