Power Steering
This is going to sound stupid but I am rebuilding my first Vette. I am not sure how its supposed to ride or handle as I havent ridden in one since about 1980. The power steering doesnt feel right, it feels like its not working. I can turn the wheels ok, but they are not as easy to turn as my other older vehicles, also I dont hear that faint PS whine they seem to have. Is this a problem with the PS control valve? Is there a way to test it? Or is it just normal for this car to be that tight? Has plenty of fluid and the belt is tight.
I feel like the problem is looking right at me but I cant figure it out. Any suggestions?

Are you turning the wheel with it stationary or while you're driving. It's always harder for the steering system with the wheels sitting still.
There may also be air in the system and it may take a bit for the air to purge itself.
