battery dies

I just put in a new gas gauge and my battery dies. I jump start my car but if it sits the battery dies again. The battery is old 3 months old. Would a gas gauge cuase this kind on problem or is there somthing else.

I would go back and check all the wiring you maybe moved or undid when installing the guage, you may have a drain, how long before the battery runs down?
