interchangeability of headers
My old engine had 186 heads and the the zz383 crate engine I'm putting in has the vortec fastburn heads. Will the Hedman headers that fit on the old style heads mount up to and seal properly with the d shaped exhaust ports of new engine?

The pattern is the same and the shape should be close enough.
Take a rubbing of the pattern on the old head and compare it to the new head and header pattern.

I used my 1 1/2" Dynomax long tubes from my L-48 and there was more than enough inside dia. to cover the D ports.
