Ebay crook has re-appeared. 4 vettes. Some are listed on Yahoo too. I think there is some saying about 'the scum will rise to the surface' or somthing like that.

I can sympathize with Rottie. I also goofed and got burnt on E-Bay.

I bought a engine from someone that was supposed to be a business. I got the royal reaming on this deal by the way!
The engine was bought using buy it now, so the guy had the money. I also bought a torque converter he had which would be needed. So I pay for the stuff and shipping for it all.
It took 4 weeks b4 I got the engine, because he said he problems with the engine and wanted it to be right. Ok poopie happens so I tolerated it patiently.
Engine arrives, minus the oil pan and torque converter. Guess what? he sent it freight collect, said the shipper gave him grief or something and he had to do freight collect and he would refund me my $$ for shipping I paid.
Well a couple weeks go by and no $$ refund for shipping. I have the engine installed by this time, and it smokes like a cheap cigar. Not only does it smoke, but the engine is leaking oil out the rear seal. Ok we figure its smoking some because it needs to burn off the oils/lube and the rings need to seat.
A week goes buy its still smoking and leaking, I try to reach Mark @ Extreme Motorsports in Ohio, and he says he sent my $$ refund in money order form, and to give the engine more time to break in....
Well this crap is going on for a month after the engine install and no refund, no anything. The engine is now @ 2months installed and 1k miles, I have a leakdown test done. Lo and Behold 60% drop in 3 cyls! The guy will not return my calls, will not make this rite and he even said there was a 3 month warranty on the engine, because he is a professional and he swears this engine wil lbe good!
So now I am stuck with having to pull the engine and find out what the problem is exactly, and the butt will not even return my calls/emails.
I do not have his info with me, but will post it later so ppl will know not to deal with him.

I would never buy anything off E-bay...After the horror stories I have heard...I do think criminals should be dealt with swiftly and HARSHLY :mad :mad :mad

I know nothing about e-bay or yahoo auctions and I don't know this guy and I hate him too.. Now that I set the stage a bit.. If you have an item for sale that has a reserve.. which means it may not sell.. is it against the law to list it in two auctions? If you were selling in the new paper and listed in multiple news papers it would be ok.. I'm not looking to get flamed over this and like I said earlier.. I think the guy is slime ****... just asking the question cause if he's braking the rules someone should be able to slap him silly..

Don't judge every E-bayer by this butt...if you look at a persons feedback #
and the responses he has,there are alot of people who are trustworthy. I have bought over 50 things on ebay, and only got wronged once.It was on a early buy when I was young and dumb and didn't know what to look for. I have sold alot on Ebay and continue to sell.I have NEVER got Negative feedback!!!
It is people who speak out on bad deals that helps to keep E-Bay fun!!!
It is a great place to buy and sell things you don't need!!!
