Engine & trans mount prices!

I just picked myself up off the floor. I called the local GM dealer today for a price on stock engine and trans mounts for my '79 Vette. With the taxes I'll be spending over $430 Canadian for 2 engine mounts and a trans mount. I really don't want to go solid but now I'm thinking it'll be poly going in my car, after getting prices like that. :eek: :chevy :(

What do you have in that thing a 747 turbine I just replaced mine and i got 60 bucks US in it or is the exchange rate that high 60=430 :) :jester

what about ecklers or MAD??
I had a solid mounts for my motors before i changed it....they were brutal on the overall feel of the car....and that was only with 200HP

FWIW, I got my trans mount from Zip for a lot less than GM.

It really depends on what your doing with your car, and how you drive it . You can buy the same kind of motor mount that cc and zip have for $20.00 @ Canadian tire or parts source here in Canada for $14.45 Canadian. :) It's the locking type as well.
