Default backspacing for 17" tt2

i was trying to find the correct backspacing for a 1972 corrvette, using 17-8 torqe trust II on the front and 17-9 on the rear. also will 17-9 stick out past the fender on the rear.

The 17X8 use a 4 inch backspacing. The rears 17X9 use a 5 inch backspacing. This way they will not stick out of the fenders on the rear. I run 18X10s in the rear with a 5.5 backspace and the ydon't stick out.

My friend got his rims ordered, 17x8 with 4 inch backspacing for the front and 17x9 1/2 with 5 inch backspacing for the rear.

Now were trying to figure out what tire sizes to go with, he wants as wide as possable on the rear with stock trailing arms.

275 is about as wide as you can go. Some have squeezed a 285 in there but that is getting real tight. I'm running a 275 40 18 on mine.
