Default Diagnosing spark plugs

I have looked at every manual I have for diagnosing spark plugs, including the GM service manual, and none have a description of what I see when I pulled my plugs. The electrode (is that the piece that bends over the tip?) is very white. No deposits or anything, just very white. Whazzup with that? Running too lean? Too hot in the combustion chamber? I pulled 3 plugs (the easiest) and all were the same. Opinions? thx, tom

Yes, but more white than tan or brown. Not gunked up, broken or otherwise worn. They are 4 months and 3k miles old.

It's hard to tell without actually seeing them. If you look at the center electrode insulator (the porcelin part) do you see any small dark shiny specs or little *****? You may need to get out a light & magnifing glass to check this.
