i thought i saw everything. looks just like my original. they put novelty to protect themselves. they should be arresed. i just sent them a nasty email threatening them that i will turn them in and ii might.
Let the buyer beware! I am opening up a hornet's nest but....Just for argument's sake, what is the difference between that and putting a factory original interior in a vintage Vette (or any other restoration pieces for that matter)? If a restorer was trying to falsify the documentation and misrepresent what a car was in terms of option, etc., than I would be against it. But restoring old cars is all about creating an illusion anyway. Personally, I bought my car to drive and enjoy, not restore and spend the rest of my days polishing it at shows with a diaper. That is a legitimate aspect of the hobby, just not my cup of tea. I hope I didn't make anyone angry!!!I love show cars and I love drivers, too.

as long as your not trying to fake an l88 or something like that then i don't see anything wrong with it.
this is no different than restamping a block. how would you feel if you paid top dollar for a car and found out the block was restamped and the tank sticker a fake? at least i know mine is real because it crumbles if you touch it. im sure they will find a way to do that too.

You're missing the point. There is nothing illegal about restamping a block or creating a fake tank sticker. Fraud only becomes involved when you try to sell the car saying that they are original. Some guys use them to create clones, etc., and are honest about it. Don't forget, this is America, where you're free to do what you want unless/until it negatively affects someone else (supposed to be, anyway).

Actually, most states have laws against defacing, changing etc. the public numbers on an engine block. We have just decided between ourselves that we are OK with it unless it is used for fraudulent purposes.
for something that is for novelty purposes only they seem to be trying really hard to make it so perfect you couldn't tell the difference from the real thing. Also pretty expensive for a novelty item.
Yeah, there's nothing wrong with it as long as someone doesn't use it commit fraud. Kinda reminds me of the cable black boxes that aren't illegal because the person that buys it is telling the cable company they've got it and they're paying for the channels they're descrambling....yeah, right
