Steering Cylinder 81 vette

Trying to rebuild my steering cylinder but can not get the end of the cylinder off the relay rod assembly after I have removed the cotter pin and nut, need a little help?

I heated mine SLIGHTLY with a torch, put a sacrificial nut on the end, tap tap tap...popped loose. I had a time with the connection to the idler arm....here I used heat and a mini machinist steel wedge....popped her right off.

I used a Handy Ball Joint Seperater from AutoZone,and a BFH.

A few whacks and it popped right off.

can you rebuild those or better off with new...i know the ps box leaks like heck also.im picking away at this car and will take the advice from this forum to do so.
