Default Money and Time.......

Just found out yesterday that I will be getting deployed to the desert (Not sure exactly where yet) but I am going to be coming into a chunk of money while over there. The plan right now is to leave my '80 with my brother and Dad. gonna let my 19 year old brother drive my car for 6 months yeah I know probably not the smartest thing to do but I love the guy and he has always wanted one.

Anyway
Right now the game plan is to get the body all lined up, Fender flares put all around, new hood put on, and of course painted. Also I am taking it to a transmission shop to have the T350 built up with a 3200-3800 stall converter gears that can handle around 500 hp and a ratchet shifter. (Wanted to get a trans brake too but you guys talked me out of that a few months ago.)

Anyone have any other recommendations for some stuff I can have shops do?? Would rather not have any motor work done by shops I love doing that stuff myself. Interior is going to be redone later on when I have a lot of money to do some custom stuff with it.

I'd leave the 80 alone and give it to your brother. Go grab a decent chrome bumper car. Just my opinion.

Get some in the desert and keep your head down.

Actually, I really like the 80-82's. They finally got the rubber bumpers right on those. I'm not too much for body mods, so I'd probably build it into a nasty car looking stock on the outside.

i also have an 80' and the 85mph speedo makes the car. I also like that there is no computer to muttle things up. (dont listen to the chrome bumper guys, we know where its at) cheers and good luck,
Steve
