Default Headers Install

I just bought a pair of off brand headers from Ebay. Assuming that they fit well, is it tough to change the headers on these C3's? It just doesn't look like there's much room there so I was wondering if anyone has made this change, can you tell me ahead of time of any hangups I may have?? Or maybe offer any helpful words of advice??? Thanks!!

I swapped the headers out on my 77 and it was pretty easy. I think the worst part (and it wasn't even that bad) was that I had to remove the A/C compressor to get one of the header bolts off, I think that is specific to 77's though.

I have a 69 vert and I pulled mine out from the bottom of the car. Don't think they'll come out through the top. Tony

He is right, get it up in the air further than you can, SAFELY.....

16" off the ground should do it....

take the compressor off, lay it aside on a bungee cord, not to pop the lines....

driver's side is mucho easier.....sawzall the pipes,

all day job....I use hose clamps and galv steel roof flashing wrapped around and clamped for noise supression to get it to the welding shop...

Put mine in from the bottom (a '76), no A/C or anything like that in the way though.

I'm glad I asked, I guess I'll have to get it up on jackstands. I planned on getting them out from the top as they looked like they should come out from the top but I guess not. Thanks again!!
