Default Fan Shroud Question

I'm working on my project so today's fan shroud day. Would someone be able to measure their fan shroud (mine is a 68 big block) and tell me the width at the top from the mounting point to the edge of the fan opening and also the bottom of the shroud where it goes against the radiator to the fan opening. Also what is the diameter of a big block fan?

I suspect I have a small block fan shroud just from looking at it at and from taking measurements. From the measurements the shroud I have will be completely covering the water pump. Thr shroud I have measures 6-1/2" from the top mounting point to the edge and it's 12" at the bottom. Thank you

I'm pretty sure the small block fan shrouds were made of steel. The shroud on my '68 big block is black fiberglass and is original.

Thank you, my shroud is definitely a steel one, so looks like I'll be shroud shopping!

My '68 BB car has the fiberglass shroud too. FYI, I just replaced the radiator and it was a real PITA to remove and replace the shroud. I just saw in the Corvette Central website that they have replacement 68 BB shrouds for under $200.00

Thank you for the information. I definitely have a small block shroud and it does look like it will be a PITA to get the fiberglass one in. Oh well isn't one of the requirements to own and work on a C3 that one must be somewhat of a masochist? Looks like another order to Corvette Central is coming! Thanks again for the info. Tom
