I need some help form the experts. This is for an '80 Vette. I replaced the power door lock switch and the pig tail connector for the driver side. Pretty straight forward. I just spliced and matched the colors on the wires. It worked perfect.
Here's were I messed up. Today I replaced the passenger's side power door lock switch. I also was beginning to replace the pig tail for this side and forgot to mark the wires coming from the door before a cut them! How do I corectly match these wires?
The colors coming from the door are: orange, blue, black, black, black (two of the black wires are grounded on the door).
The colors on the replacement pig tail are the same as above.
I can easily match the orange and the blue, but since I didn't mark the three black ones, I don't no how to match those up.
Well, a little researching and a couple of blown fuses and wallah! Here's some info for anyone out there with the same or similar problem. This is how the wires should match up when you're replacing the electrical connector for the passenger side power door lock on a 1980 Corvette.
