control valve, steering cylinder

Are rebuilding the control valve and the steering cylinder doable for a novist with basic tools? The kits make it look easy enough. Thought I would do them while I have it up on the ramps. Thanks

Yes it is doable.The cylinder is easy.The control valve is a little harder.You might want to buy 2 control valve kits in case you dont get it right the first time.

I just did this on my 66 this past weekend. The Power Steering Control Valve is not that bad a job. I can't comment on the cylinder though. Here is the link to the thread I wrote up..
