Look for a 90 to 92 (91 corvette) speed density unit. You will need to replace:
1) swap your existing fuel pump for a high pressure in tank unit
2) replace your existing intake with an entire tpi assembly
3) replace your ecm/computer with an appropriate tpi unit
4) Replace your FI wiring harness (you MAY be able to avoid this. Talk with Speed and Performance - their "Integrator harness" MIGHT be useable. This is an add-on harness which converts your existing tbi harness to TPI)
5) various sensors sprcific to TPI
You're wasting your money if you don't change the heads. The L83 heads are one of the worst flowing heads GM had. If you add heads and a cam to that list, you will be happy.

I agree, these heads are really poor. Almost any other head would be better. The previous post about only an 85 manifold working on your car is not correct, any L98 manifold will bolt on.

Ok Robert, I'll bite...What's wrong with your CF? Why do you want to move to TPI and the added cost of doing that, the possible gain IMO isn't worth the expense, ie...ROI Return on Investment. If your CF is setup properly, it will run fine and be very realiable. You can do other mods to perk the HP up a bit at a much lower cost than going to TPI. Again, this is only my opinion and others will vary.
keep the cross-fire intake . tpi is nice but its more work than you need to do . put on new heads new cam ,headers and a set of rear gears .easy to do .crossfire is good up to about 400 hp .http://www.crossfire.homeip.net/cftest/check out this site.
