MY NEW CAR
Some of you may know that I sold my 69 Big Block. It has been replaced by C3 (1980) Corvette GT1 Road Race Car. I picked it up Saturday. The frame has been extensively modified. Full roll cage. Front clip with Coil Overs and WilWood brakes. Rack and Pinion Steering. Rear Gulstrand style 5 link. SBC with aluminum brodix heads. Super T10 trans. Removable front and rear clips.
When I brought it home, I actually took it up and down my street before I put it in the garage. Now I know what they mean when racers say tires are slick until they have heat in 'em. I didn't even get on the car down my street and I was goin' sideways. Trying to get up my driveway which has a steep incline proved most challenging. I am look forward to doing some driving school events to start with and see where it goes from there.
