82 Wiring Schematic Needed

If anyone has an electrical schematic to share I would sure appreciate it. I seem to have a gremlin and I need to find a new home for him. I have started blowing my gauge fuse randomly No rhyme or reason that I can find. When it does blow, the car bucks and snorts and runs like crap afterwards.

Guess I was looking for a winter project.

Buy a shop manual for your 82 (you can find them on Ebay for less than stanadard suppliers) it will show you everything for your car including all wiring diagrams. Well worth the $$$.

I have the 82 manuals (chilton & Hayes) neither one has an 82 wiring diagram

Thanks for the link. Its just what I was looking for.

I have the worst kind of gremlin.....an intermittent one.

I can blow a fuse and put one right back in it and it may not blow all day or it may go in an a few minutes or a few hours.

Just for the hell of it, Check your interior light delay box that plugs into the fuse box on the bottom right side. On my 82 it somehow affects the fuel pump relay. You could be bumping it with your foot. This however does not cause any fuses to blow. I have my whole harnness untaped at this time fixing all of my weird problems. If I can check anything in particular, let me know.

My Hayes manual has a diagram for every group of C3 years - including 82.

Chilton and Hayes are crap anyway. Get the real GM manual.

Mine did the basicly the same thing once and it turned out that somehow a dime had slipped down into the lighter socket. It was almost invisible to see when it was sitting there flat and I really scrathed my head for a few hours trying to find out why I was blowing dash fuses until I found it. Might be worth taking a look.
